SSPC - The Society for Protective Coatings, founded in 1950 is the only non-profit association that is focused on the protection and preservation of concrete, steel and other industrial and marine structures and surfaces through the use of high-performance protective, marine and industrial coatings. SSPC is the leading source of information on surface preparation, coating selection, coating application, environmental regulations, and health and safety issues that affect the protective coatings industry.
Goodwest Linings and Coatings holds a QP1 certification from SSPC. SSPC QP1SM certification is a nationally recognized program that evaluates the practices of industrial painting contractors in key areas of business. These standards are considered to be the MINIMUM level of service and quality for today's coatings industry. The complex nature of coating systems and the specific surface preparations required for these systems, have made the QP 1 guidelines vital to the longevity of applied protective coatings.
Goodwest Linings and Coatings also holds a QP3 certification from SSPC. SPC QP3 evaluates the practices of shop painting facilities in key areas of business. These standards are considered to be the minimum level of service and quality for today's coatings industry. The complex nature of coating systems, the specific conditions and surface preparation required by these systems, have made the QP 3 guidelines vital to the longevity of protective coatings applied in the shop.

Other Certifications and Qualifidcations

NACE is the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. It is the leading professional organization for the corrosion control industry. The NACE Institute provides professional training and certification.
Goodwest has executed many jobs with demanding specifications and inspection requirements. Military, municipal water, petrochemical and other industries often require a NACE level 3 inspector to be on site throughout the duration of a coating project.
Goodwest Linings & Coatings has NACE level 3 certified staff. NACE level 3 is the highest level of inspector certification from NACE, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.

With more than 50,000 members worldwide and 43 Sections in North America, AWWA advances public health, safety and welfare by uniting the efforts of the entire water community.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is part of the US Department of Labor. The purpose of the Mine Safety and Health Administration is to prevent death, disease, and injury from mining and to promote safe and healthful workplaces for the Nation's miners. Goodwest employees hold MSHA Qualifications and Certifications.

PICS is a contractor prequalification company. PICS was created to ensure that suppliers are prequalified to work in a safe and sustainable manner by pre-screening suppliers, verifying insurance, and performing risk-based audits on safety-sensitive contractors. Goodwest is registered with PICS.

ISN is a global leader in contractor and supplier management. They support more than 350 hiring clients by maintaining safety, insurance, quality and regulatory information on contractors and suppliers. Goodwest is registered with ISN.
